3D Model and AR Experiments (FOR PHONES)
If you have a fairly modern and powerful iPhone or Android with an up to date operating system version,
you should see below an image of a mammoth skeleton and an icon showing a small movable box outline.
There will be a short delay while the 3D file package loads from our site.
Tap the box to bring up a menu and probably open the system camera/AR app (you may need to grant permission).
Then you need to move the phone so the AR can learn about your environment.
You can select AR to show the skeleton against the local space seen through the camera lens.
(you can also 'hold' the skeleton in place or zoom it with gestures).
Alternatively select Object to simply see the skeleton alone (you can turn it with finger screen gestures).
If you want to take a photo (with the AR skeleton visible), tap the view, then tap the shutter button which should appear.
When done, tap the view, then select X to return to this index page.
The 3D image should be visible above (interactive on a phone, static view on a PC).
If no good, maybe try the following link:
3d play (another version, without the index clutter)

If interested in 3D augmented reality, visit the following link:
3d play (experimental, may change, should show a mammoth, or maybe a horse)
